The Avenue B Program brings together a team of dedicated individuals who work collaboratively across institutions. Their mission is to support and guide students through every step of their educational journey, effectively bridging the gap between community college and UC Davis.
AvenueB Contacts
The Avenue system, developed by UC Davis STEM Strategies in 2016, is designed to serve high-potential, low-resource students who possess and demonstrate commitment or potential for leadership to positively impact the elimination barriers that prevent full participation of women and those historically underrepresented in STEM careers. This model is heavily reliant on partnership with area community colleges to streamline the transfer process, often referred to as the transfer maze. The STEM Strategies team serves as advisors to individual programs and consults to help the model scale and adapt to new disciplines.
Community College Contacts
Each of our partner community colleges has a designated point of contact dedicated to serving the diverse needs of the student population. These contacts are intimately familiar with the resources available at their respective colleges and actively work to connect students with the appropriate support services.
