What is Transfer Bridge?

Students who have been selected to join the 30-participant cohort at UCD are required to participate in a two-week intensive and immersive Transfer Bridge Program during which they are required to live on the UCD campus, take an academic enrichment course, participate in community building activities, engage in professional development and explore the numerous resources UCD has to offer. When students complete Transfer Bridge, they have a peer community backing them, are prepared to manage the academic rigors of UCD and are knowledgeable about the resources available to assist them through the final two years of college.
Goals of Transfer Bridge
- Become familiar with the UC Davis community
- Develop relationships with the AvenueB cohort
- Receive academic guidance and professional development
- Connect with faculty, advisors, staff, other students and working professionals
- Earn a stipend to alleviate the need to work during this summer program
