Jessica transferred from Los Medanos College prior to being admitted as a student at UC Davis. Jessica is majoring in Cell Biology and is minoring in Climate Science and Policy.

She plans to become a peer mentor for the AvenueB program and intends to join a lab or work in a clinic to gain experience and become more involved on campus.

What does a "day in the life" of a Biological Sciences student look like?

"A day in the life of a Biological Science student usually looks like doing some reading or preparing before class then I bike or bus to campus and grab some breakfast. I then attend my classes where I follow along with my own slides and write notes and ask any questions I have. After classes I get some food then head to another spot-on campus to do work or study. I also go to office hours at this point as well. After I complete the work, I need to for the night I get dinner and bike back home." - Jessica Solis
